Greetings Travelers
Hey guys, this is Jacob. I tried to get another name but it seems to like me being called Admin. Oh well, anyhow, on to business! Obviously the purpose of this forum is to discuss Warmachine/Hordes but I thought it also a great way to communicate with each other and everyone we come across that plays. I know things are a tad bare at the moment but I am sure it won't be long before you've all filled this forum with your life stories that no one wants to hear! I ask three things of you guys here on the forums: be patient while we get this going, check/post often, and check/post often!!!!
Re: Greetings Travelers
Damon was some how already taken. I play Retribution, but only have about 20 points worth. Hopefully that will change soon.

Re: Greetings Travelers
Hello my name is Shawn, I am the resident "assembler" for our group. I like to use green stuff on mini's. Both Steve and Jacob have some of my work in their armies. I play Legion of Everblight and have 116 points before taking away warbeast points. I am married to my wife Tammy and together we have a son named Kevin. I look forward to seeing new players and playing against them. Thanks for reading.

Re: Greetings Travelers
I'm Jesse the resident Cryx player. Shawn and I do a majority of the painting, which I think we both find extremely enjoyable and flattering. I have 6 casters atm, and have been thinking about more just for sake of variety. I love infantry as well as jacks, and found that Cryx fields both fairly generously... not to mention tons of annoying solos to boot. When I'm not playing warmahordes I'm typically playing DCUO or whatever mmo has captured my interest. Can't wait to meet these Findlay players!

Re: Greetings Travelers
I'm Zach Walton from Findlay and the expectant area Press Ganger. I started playing Warmachine all the way back in 2005 in the MK I, pre-Hordes era and I'm only know wrapping my head around all the (generally positive) changes in MK II (although they really nerfed Darius!).
I play Cryx, Cygnar, Legion of Everblight, and Pirates. Turn ons include: 'jacks, gunlines, Defenders, Hunters, Eiyriss, Hellfire, and shootiness. Turn offs include: infantry heavy lists and anything that stops me from shooting at the enemy.
My current projects are assembling the Thunderhead, Stormclad cavalry, and Soul Hunters cavalry that I just got in the mail. For Christmas, I'm expecting to get enough stuff to field a new Caine shooty list.

Re: Greetings Travelers
Im John, the other guy from Findlay. Im a relatively new player with a small khador force and a slowly growing Blindwater army, which is my primary focus.
I enjoy giant reptiles, acid spit, 2 handed throw, and stopping Zack from shooting at my stuff. I dislike forgetting my tough rolls.

I suppose I will just delete the Introductions thread since you all are using this as your Introduction. /glare Well met everyone!
Re: Greetings Travelers
If this supposed Introduction thread was visible or perhaps truly existed, maybe it would have had posts... just saying.Admin wrote:I suppose I will just delete the Introductions thread since you all are using this as your Introduction. /glare Well met everyone!

Re: Greetings Travelers
What I'm trying to tell you is that it's not visible on my screen and perhaps everyone else's except yours, since you have admin rights.

Re: Greetings Travelers
I got that and checked, but couldn't find anything that looked to hide/unhide threads. I shall look again. And again until I find it. Thanks Jesse.
Re: Greetings Travelers
Hello all,
I was tempted to write my presentation in a separate topic, but it seems pointless.
I'm Gregoire, French soon to be living most of his life in Findlay, OH (March, if god wills it).
Dark Aletheia started his job as a PG and told me there was this wonderful forum to talk about Warmachine/Hordes.
I play Cryx (246AP) and I used to play Retribution (300ish) but I maintain only one army at a time so they're gone.
Glued minis :35AP.
Painted minis : 4AP.
I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I suppose you all go to the Dueling Grounds.

Re: Greetings Travelers
Hello Gregoire. It's nice to chat with you again and I'm glad that he have all this in place for you to quickly get hooked up with our group.
Wow, you've got some massive armies there! As you can see by our "points bragging" post, you've got far more than all of us.
Yes, we are based out the Dueling Grounds. It's basically the only game store within about 1 hour of Findlay. I grew up in this area, and until the DG opened, NW Ohio was a black hole of gaming.
See you in March!

Re: Greetings Travelers
Well met Gregoire, it is a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to discussing some WarmaHordes with you. That is far too much Cryx! Dark Aletheia is correct, prior to Dueling Grounds there was nowhere to go unless you wanted to drive about an hour, and then deal with elitist jerks(most likely). Anyhow, look forward to meeting you in March and playing some games.
Re: Greetings Travelers
Yeah, I used to check the close-by stores around and was amazed to see there were not much. Yeah for the DG !
I'm used to play 35-50 points game. But I will gladly do some 15-25 if needed. I chose to start a new army because of that. I'm just a compulsive purchaser...

Re: Greetings Travelers
wow 246 points of cryx... that sounds like a shit ton of arc nodes to make worthless =P. Can't wait to play against another new player (new to me that is). And I love playing in the 35-50 point range.

Not that much.
I only have 2 of every warjacks in the army except the crabs as I'm waiting for the plastic kit to be released.

Ha! I'm playing a lot of Assassin's Creed: Revelation and this reminds me of the Creed: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."
