I take advantage of this new section of the forums to introduce myself.

My name is Gregoire Boisbelaud. I'm 33(.5) at the time I write this.

I started Warmachine with Cygnar back in 2006. Since MkII, I used to play Retribution of Scyrah. I quit recently to get back to my first love : The nightmare Empire of Cryx.

Most of these are still unpainted and even unglued. But not for long !
My goal is to have two playable 50AP lists (painted) for Origins 2012.

I'm looking forward to playing with any of you.
I suck at rolling dice but I don't care about losing if weall had fun. And I shake hand too at the end of the game. And even pay for a drink if it's not the end of the month...

Very nice, congratulations sir! We had our first official Steamroller Tournament yesterday(17th) and my opponent in the first round was a Cryx player; his play style was far different from the normal Cryx lists I play. So, I very much look forward to see your playstyle along with a new face across the battlefield! Oh, I beat said Cryx player by the way.

Looks like an A to Z collection youve got there. Cant wait to face off agianst you.

I chose Cryx as a reaction to my former Retribution army. I wanted more HtH combat instead of Shooting.

At 50APs a basic list I would play is as follow :

Pirate Queen Skarre
Deathripper
Harrower
Seether
Skarlock thrall

6 bile thralls
10 Mechanithralls + 1 Brute
Necrosurgeon and Stitch thralls
Pistol Wraith
Satyxis raider captain
10 Satyxis raiders + Sea Witch
3 Scrap thralls
Warwitch siren

Real "in your face" army. The point is to get a caster kill round 1 or 2. After that, it becomes hard to not lose a lot of minis each round.

Some very evident combos here like the Satyxis 12" charge (with the captain).

Some more tricky like the Skarlock and scrap which are here to provide focus to Skarre next turn.

Bile thralls and Harrower are here to handle the crowd. Mechanithralls and Seether to take care of the heavies.

Satyxis and Skarre are here to jump at the throat of the warcaster either directly (Skarre at roudn 2 or 3) or indirectly (backlash and the satyxis whips combined on the opponent's jacks) : 12 attacks, with weapon master (one round), potentially, 24 damage points. No warcaster can resist that.

My collection is pretty total. I'm just missing 3 plastic kits of Crab warjacks which are going to be released next year. I didn't want to get the metal ones knowing that.

Right on, playing 2 other Cryx players there are still things in your army that I have yet to play. And that is what I love about this game! I am rapidly approaching a complete collection... >.< really should stop spending so much money so rapidly. lol Anyhow, I think I will go download the Cryx Forces book and read up on them. Farewell.

It's a week before I move and I glued everything I had but :
- 20 satyxis raiders.
- 20 Bane thralls.
- 10 Bane Knights.
- 5 black Ogrun boarding party.
- Deathjack (OMFG, it will need pinning !!!)
- Lich Lord Terminus (I'm scaaaaaared...)
- the battle engine.

50% of what is glued is also primed in white.

Most of them are still unglued cause my bag is already full and I need new foam trays. Origins will be my eldorado this year.

We've got 3 regulars, just need you to kick off official leagues/events.

Sadly, my minis won't ship before April, I fear. So the first times I come and visit the store, it's only going to be a visit...

I'm also worried cause I made a stupid bet with some friends that I would have two 35APs lists painted for Origins... Not gonna make it.

It gets worse.

I was denied the entry on the US territory because my visa was deemed not correct.

So my arrival will be wayyyy later than expected. 4 to 9 months later...
