The Big Tiers for Fears Event: RIW Hobbies, Livonia Michigan, 1/26/2013
Hey there all,

Coming at you all with another tournament, this time its a "theme" based tournament. So here is the run down:

50pt list, must be a theme list that is tier 4.
You may bring 2 lists but are not required to, though if you do bring a second list then you must play both at least one time each.
There will be no reinforcements.
We will be using the most current Steamroller format.
$5 entry fee
Registration at 10:00am, dice at 11:00am
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, any money left over will go towards prize support

I checked with my wife about this one.

It looks like the Ikea up there is only 17 min. away from this game store. We're talking about going up, dropping her off, going to play in this tourney, picking her up, then having dinner at a nearby Mongolian restaurant.

John already has dibs on a seat in my car, Karen is talking about bringing a friend. Along with our minis and their Ikea purchases, we might have a full car. But, if a seat opens up, I'll let you know.

We might discuss caravaning up there if anyone else is going for sure.

The plan moves forward. I can definatly do 50 points of Caliban teir 4. Maybe buy two more bone swarms for Maelok teir 4.

Put in for the day off yesterday. Findlay invades Michigan is gonna be a good start for the new year.

Yeah, a Tier 4 Darius list will give me a good method for focusing my painting for the next month.

Although, now a Tier 4 Shae is really tempting. I just wouldn't be fully painted by that time.

Maybe ill get a second spitter instead and run teir 4 bloody b instead. Ill likely never use more then 1 boneswarm but I can easily use a second spitter.

I heard about this on Muse on Minis, as they are travelling there from Iowa. I was thinking about trying to go myself, but it is doubtful at this point. I've been itching to play my Amon ad-Raza T4 list in a tourney.

Sounds interesting, looks like a good chance to test out the Absylonia list i'm working on. If need be I can drive and have 3 open seats.

Well the tourney is a no-go for me. My wife is working that day.

Karen has decided that she's not going to go.

That opens up two seats in my car if anyone else wants to carpool with John and I.

Me too. I've been frantically painting. Won't be fully painted, but my Stormwall should be almost completely ready.

Well when i placed my order for my LoE stuff I put in the wrong billing address(downside to living in college and wanting it shipped to you here, I forget to change it sometimes). So I am hoping that I get the stuff by friday, and if they do it will be a mad rush to get them painted lol. If not I will still come just to watch and learn, unless someone that is wanting to actually play wants my spot.

I'm pretty sure that there isn't a painting requirement for this one. So long as you have the models assembled and the cards, you should be fine.

Don't you have 50 pts. worth of Trolls that you could play with?

I can't make a tier 4 lsit though, missing some units for eMadrak and need several more units of whelps for eDoomshaper. Got an update from them and looks like i'll be ok.

I hope you guys have a blast at this. I'm eager to hear how it goes!
